As a result from the recent rains produced by Tropical Depression Bill, Grapevine Lake levels are continually increasing. Because of the increased lake level, the Cities of Grapevine and Flower Mound along with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Northgate Constructors are monitoring impact of the flooding to F.M. 2499.
At this time, the southbound lanes of F.M. 2499 are now closed at Gerault Road. The closure may soon include the northbound lanes of F.M. 2499 from Grapevine Mills Parkway. This closure will directly affect access to Camden Riverwalk Apartments and the Marquis at Silver Oaks Apartments. Contingencies are being made to use alternate roads to access the apartment complexes. Management from both of those apartment complexes have been updated regarding these measures. The following important information is our most current:
INFORMATION HOTLINE (8am-8pm)

EVACUATIONS
There are no evacuations planned at this time. We are monitoring lake and creek levels. Those who may potentially need to evacuate will be notified by emergency personnel.
WATER RELEASE FROM THE DAM
No controlled releases from the dam are planned at this time. The water flowing into the creek is from the emergency spillway and is uncontrolled. The Army Corps of Engineers controls water releases from the dam.
DECLARATION OF DISASTER
The Declaration of Disaster issued by Mayor William D. Tate is available on the main page of our city website, GrapevineTexas.gov and was shared on all city social media channels.
FM2499 INFORMATION REGARDING ROAD CLOSURES
There is potential for FM 2499 to be closed in both directions in the event that water continues to rise and/or cover the roadway. If this occurs, TxDOT will close FM 2499 in both directions. Please see the attached map for roads affected by flooding.
KIMBALL/MEADOWMERE LANE
Due to high water, barricades will be put in place this evening from Trail Lake to Roaring Springs. Alternate route is Silver Crest.
COORDINATION
The City is working closely with local, regional and state partners to ensure a coordinated response.
