to the construction of infiltration swales at Logan Cottages in Baldwin County!

Axis Engineering Group provided site design services on this project, which included the design of infiltration swales. These swales are shallow, vegetated channels designed to convey, treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff into the soil. They are an essential component of site design as they reduce runoff volume and pollutants, while featuring gentle slopes.

We are closely monitoring storm impacts to our area this weekend. Construction sites are being buttoned up, non-essential maintenance of traffic devices are being removed, and drainage systems throughout our projects are being checked for efficiency.

We are thrilled to have provided design services and engineering expertise for the City of Foley Municipal Government's traffic safety improvement project on Juniper Street!

The accompanying photos show the construction of a southbound left-turn lane from Jupiter Street onto Beignet Drive, and a median island to encourage traffic calming. These devices reduce conflict points, lower vehicle speeds, and improve safety for drivers, cyclists, and residents.

We are proud to have worked on this project that directly improves daily safety for the Foley community. A job well done to all!
