Job Description – Special Shapes Technician

Summary/Objective
The Special Shapes Technician products until they are completed to acceptance test procedures and routing operations by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Use a Compound saw, welder, heating chamber (oven), set up radius table and bending table to create special shapes.
Needs to be able to run with understanding of GM Metrics/Architectural shapes for bending vinyl windows.
This includes cutting raw material, shaping, welding, final assembly and quality checks.
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 70 pounds.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Strong math skills with an emphasis on geometry.
Proficient in reading and using a tape measure.
Able to work independently and remain productive.
Strong problem solving skills.
Pay based on experience
