Estimator / Project Manager

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong analytical and leadership skills who can accurately estimate project costs and then manage the project through to successful completion. You will be a key player in our project lifecycle, from initial bidding to final project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Estimating:
o Perform detailed Earthwork & Utility Takeoffs utilizing civil drawings & CAD-Based Software
o Perform comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other documents.
o Manage the bidding process, including prioritizing bids, gathering quotes from vendors and subcontractors, and submitting competitive proposals.
o Maintain a database of historical project costs and market pricing to inform future estimates.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Project Management:
o Manage multiple projects from the pre-construction phase to closeout, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
o Create, manage, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources.
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
o Oversee on-site operations and coordinate with field teams to ensure compliance with project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
o Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and resolve project-related issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a combined Estimator/Project Manager role, preferably in Residential/Commercial Development and/or Highway Heavy Construction.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bid2Win, HCSS, Trimble B.C., Agtek, etc.).
o Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience).
