Can you tell this paver project is on top of a deck? We created a ultra strong engineered timber frame to support this paver patio. Traditional paver patios require excavation and setting in base. This project had a beautiful tree whose roots prevented the traditional installation of pavers. Our solution was to use StoneDeks Systems. So if you want a paver patio but can't dig the base for it contact us to get a quote for a paver patio on top of a deck frame.

Our Story

Our family owned and operated business is based out of Fort Collins, CO. David is a third generation contractor. He’s had a hammer in his hand since he was 2 years old and our son is following in his footsteps. His past projects include the Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and Barbara Streisand Mansion.

Our passion is for custom residential projects from carpentry to masonry and everything in between. We opened Sawdust and Stone Builders in 2018 as a husband/wife team when we decided to make Fort Collins our home and have helped many families since then create unique interior and exterior living spaces. We believe in honest, quality craftsmanship and won’t settle for good enough. We guarantee our work and make sure it’s done right with an eye for the details.

Community and the environment is important to us so we try to re-purpose scraps from projects to help our local neighborhoods. In the past we’ve turned lumber cut-offs into school garden beds and donated cooler stands for auction at the Gardens on Spring Creek. We love the Northern Front Range and strive to support local business whenever possible. Our passion for responsible business practices extends to our customers as well.
