UST/AST Construction Foreman - Refined Fuels 🚜🦺⛽

Have you led tank installation or fuel system construction projects in the field?

We’re looking for a Foreman who knows how to run a job. Someone who can take a project from the ground up, keep crews moving, and get it done right.

This isn’t a clipboard-only role. You’ll be in the field, leading from the front, making calls, and owning the job from start to finish.

What you’ll be doing:
• Leading UST/AST installation projects
• Managing crews and subcontractors
• Keeping projects on schedule and on spec
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are met

What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience in UST/AST or fuel system construction
• Strong leadership in the field (not just on paper)
• Someone who takes pride in their work and crew
• Strong self-management and the ability to make informed decisions

Would we say the average groundwater sampling event is epically scenic? Maybe not. But a double rainbow over Steamboat Springs is a pretty fantastic sight to end a day on the road!

One of our environmental team members recently shared these photos from a groundwater sampling event in northwest Colorado. The ducks seemed pretty happy with the water quality, but we'll go ahead and double-check the data just to be sure...

Site Demolition, UST Removal, and Environmental Assessment & Reporting

From permitting and demolition to environmental assessment and regulatory reporting, this project really showcases the advantages of having a multidisciplinary team.

CGRS is currently performing a project that includes the removal of three 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs), associated fuel infrastructure, and site demolition activities at a former fueling facility in Denver, CO. The project includes demolition of the canopy, kiosk, and carwash, removal of dispensers and piping, environmental assessment activities, and preparation of closure documentation in accordance with Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety (OPS) requirements.

Projects like this demonstrate how CGRS delivers turnkey environmental and infrastructure solutions — combining environmental expertise, field ex*****on, regulatory knowledge, and construction coordination to safely move projects from investigation through closure.

CGRS is hiring a Fueling Construction Project Estimator who can take ownership of the estimating process from initial review through project handoff.

We are looking for experienced field professionals ready to transition into estimating.
We will teach you the estimating tools, you bring the real-world experience.

This role is responsible for preparing construction budgets and estimates, analyzing project costs, reviewing subcontractor and vendor quotes, and helping ensure projects are set up for success from the start.

If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines while communicating effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams — this could be the job for you.

What you’ll be doing:
• Preparing construction budgets by studying plans and updating specifications
• Reading blueprints and analyzing project documents to prepare estimates
• Assessing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements
• Obtaining and evaluating bids from vendors and subcontractors
• Tracking bid costs and trends for awarded, lost, and pending bids
• Collaborating with contractors, engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure estimate accuracy
• Presenting estimates to clients in a timely and professional manner
• Maintaining project documentation including estimates, receipts, and completion records
• Performing risk analysis and value engineering projects
• Facilitating project handoff meetings with assigned Project Managers

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze project costs and identify project requirements
• Ability to maintain continuity among subcontractors, vendors, and contractors through clear communication and documentation

While emergency response situations are not an everyday occurrence for our Repairs & Upgrades team, we are fully equipped to respond quickly and safely when unexpected scenarios arise.

One recent project took place at a gas station in Wyoming, after a vehicle struck unprotected tank vent lines in the parking lot. The impact sheared off the Regular Unleaded vent pipe just above grade, creating a serious safety hazard by releasing gasoline vapors at ground level where they could potentially ignite from nearby ignition sources.

Our team mobilized immediately to secure the site and complete the necessary repairs. Crews broke out and removed concrete, exposed the damaged vent lines, repaired the piping, installed a U-shaped bollard to protect the vent system from future impacts, patched the concrete, and finished the project by painting the vent pipes and bollard.
