McCarthy's Floors & More hopes to set you up for success after installing your brand new Luxury Vinyl Flooring. Here's some cleaning tips:

💎Cleaning Your Luxury Vinyl Floors💎

1. Vacuum, Sweep & Dust Thoroughly

- Before mopping luxury vinyl flooring it's important to get rid of loose dirt & debris.

- We all know what happens to dirt when it gets wet! (MUD 😖). We don't want mud getting into the wood-like grooves of our beautiful vinyl floors. It will also make our cleaning process harder. We don't want that either.

2. Choose the right cleaner for your vinyl flooring

- Look for a neutral ph product so that it doesn't eat away at the vinyl or leave a sticky residue.

- We always recommend Bona products.

3. Keep your mop clean

- Rinse off the mop frequently with clean water which will prevent dirt from spreading instead of being sucked up.

4. Mop WITH the grain!

- Many luxury vinyl floors have a wood-like texture. Make sure you're cleaning those little grooves by running your mop with the grain.

5. Don't use too much water or cleaning product

- Even neutral ph products will leave a residue if too much is used.

- Too much water will warp the vinyl over time.

6. Let the floor dry thoroughly

- If you can't wait for your vinyl floor to air dry, run a clean microfiber cloth or mop pad over it to shorten the drying time.
