For the past week we have been helping our people of Fort Myers Beach relocate their boats. Some of these ended on mangroves, driveways, blocking roadways, and even on top of homes roofs.

The one in the first picture was very special to us because the owner, Captain Ron, stayed inside his boat through this whole hurricane and was able to make it without any harm. I asked him why he stayed in the boat instead of seeking shelter or evacuating, and he told me, “this is my home, that is everything I have” at that point I was so grateful we were able to get his boat out of the mangroves with only scratches and it was a special moment, because so many people have lost their home and we can say that we at least saved one. You guys won’t believe how happy he was and that was really the highlight of the day for me because despite the circumstances we were able to make someone’s day better during this time.

We have a long road ahead of us but we are here to help and will get through this together SWFL! ♥️🙏🏻

Metro Crane is Looking for a Mobile Crane Operator to add to their awesome team!

•Job Type:
Full-time position with 10+ hours of overtime every week.

•Schedule:
Monday to Saturday

•Location:
Fort Myers, FL but our service areas cover Lee, Collier, Hendry and Charlotte Counties.

•Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred).

•Experience:
1 year (Preferred), however we are open to interview newer operators that have been Certified by The CIC or any other accredited Crane Institute.

•Salary:
$53,000 + a year.

MUST have Class A CDL.

•Job description and physical demands:

- Lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects exceeding 30 pounds.
- Walk, stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and bend/twist body for extended periods of time.
- Climb ladders.
- Use hands to handle, control, feel objects, tools and make adjustments to equipment controls.
- Frequently perform repetitive movements.
- May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
- Drive to different areas on a daily basis.
- Operate crane according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Repair crane as needed.
- Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis. Give proper maintenance to equipment. Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
- Complete job tickets, service quality summaries, and all other necessary paperwork.

We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, who can adapt to the day's situations as they unfold. A reliable, responsible, self-motivated team player. Bilingual applicant preferred.

Today we helped out our client Fred, he needed this shipping container moved to a different area of his backyard 🏗. It wasn’t a easy task due to the uneven ground, but our operator👷🏽‍♂️has many years of experience and was able to accomplish the job ✅.

Fun fact: a shipping container like this weights between 8,000 to 9,300 lbs, depending on what kind of container it is. That’s pretty heavy!
