When Hurricane Ian reshaped our coastline, it also presented one of engineering’s greatest challenges.

After the storm, JR Evans Engineering was trusted to evaluate the damage at Bonita Beach Club and Seascape. Instead of starting from scratch, our team identified an opportunity to strengthen an existing retaining wall by increasing its elevation, enhancing protection from future storm surge while preserving the surrounding coastal ecosystem, including critical sea turtle habitats.
