When repairing older roofs one of the common things we run across is new shingles not matching surrounding shingles. On this roof there were areas the shingles matched perfectly and you couldnt tell a repair had been performed. Then there was the area by the exhaust vent that was heavily stained. Depending on the age of the roof, sun exposure, and water run off, the patch may not match at first but in most cases 1-2 years daily exposure can correct the new shingles to bring it more in line with existing shingles worn coloring.
