Mini splits need maintenance too 👇

They may be smaller than a traditional central AC system, but they still move a lot of air — and in SWFL, that means they can collect a lot of dust, dirt, and debris.

When mini splits get dirty, you can run into:

• Reduced airflow
• Poor cooling
• Musty odors
• Water leaks
• Higher energy usage
• More strain on the system

A quick filter rinse helps, but that’s not the same as a full maintenance/cleaning. The coil, blower wheel, drain pan, and drain line all need attention too.

Clean system = better airflow, better performance, and cleaner operation.

If your mini split hasn’t been cleaned in a while, it’s probably time.

You dust your ceiling fans… but what about the blower fan inside your AC? 👀

Most people think about filters, coils, and vents — but the blower wheel is what actually moves air through the whole home. 💨

Over time, dust and buildup can collect on the blades, which can affect:

• Airflow
• System performance
• Indoor cleanliness
• Blower motor strain
• Overall comfort

This before/after is a great example of why “cleaning the AC” is more than just rinsing the outdoor unit.

If the blower wheel touches the air your family breathes every day, it should not be forgotten.

Call/text 239-694-1205 if your system needs a deeper look.

June is Safety Month ⚠️

At Siggs Air Conditioning, safety is not just a once-a-year topic — it is part of how we work every day.

We hold weekly training meetings that regularly include safety topics, and we work to make sure our team has the tools, knowledge, and habits to do the job the right way.

That means using safe practices like:
- UV safety glasses when working around UV light kits
- Ladder proper setup and usage
- Breathing masks in attics and dusty spaces
- Tough gloves when handling sharp sheet metal and equipment
- Cooling fans and hydration when working in extreme heat

HVAC work can mean attics, rooftops, electrical components, sharp metal, dust, heat, and tight spaces — so taking safety seriously matters.

We are proud of a team that keeps learning, keeps improving, and works hard to take care of both our customers and each other.

Proud to support Lee Builders Care and help a neighbor in need. đź’™

We’re grateful for the opportunity to restore reliable cooling and comfort to this home. Projects like this are a great reminder of what can happen when local businesses come together for the community.

Big thank you to Lee Builders Care and Lee Building Industry Association for the work they do throughout Lee County, and to Garage Door Works for stepping up on this one too.

Community matters, and we’re always glad to help where we can!

Your AC doesn’t just cool the air… it also pulls moisture out of it 💧

And in Southwest Florida, that means your drain line matters.

As humidity ramps up, your system can produce a lot of condensation. If the drain line gets clogged, the float switch may shut the system off to prevent water damage.

That’s a good safety feature — but it’s not the full fix.

A proper visit should check:
• Why the drain backed up
• Whether the drain line is clear
• If the float switch is working
• Whether the pan or surrounding area shows signs of water issues

We don’t just reset the switch and leave. We look for the cause.

Because “it’s running again” isn’t the same as “the problem is solved.”

Call/text 239-694-1205 if your AC shuts off or you notice water around the system.

When it’s summer in Southwest Florida, AC replacement decisions can feel stressful fast. 🔥❄️

That’s why we try to make the process simple:

âś… Clear options
âś… Upfront pricing
âś… Straightforward recommendations
âś… No high-pressure sales pitch
✅ No “it’s hot outside, so let’s jack up the price” nonsense

Every home is different, and every customer has different priorities. Some want the best efficiency and comfort features available. Some want a solid, reliable system at the best value. Some just need honest guidance on what makes sense.

Our job is to explain the options clearly so you can choose what’s best for your home.

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond — different choices, same goal: a system installed the right way.

Need a replacement estimate? Call/text 239-694-1205.

Today we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we’re able to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

From all of us at Siggs Air Conditioning, we honor and remember those who never made it home.

Come join ! We're hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician.

We’re looking for someone who can run solo service calls, diagnose no-cool issues, explain findings clearly, and recommend the proper repair or upgrade when it makes sense.

This is not a “parts changer” or entry level role.

We need someone who understands the fundamentals:
⚡ Power
🌡️ Refrigeration
đź’¨ Airflow
🔌 Low-voltage / communication wiring
🧠 Problem solving across different brands and system types

Trane, Lennox, Ruud, Bosch, Carrier, Goodman, Daikin — the name on the cabinet shouldn’t throw you off. If you understand how HVAC systems work, you can slow down, diagnose properly, research when needed, and find the right solution.

What we’re looking for:
âś… Strong no-cool diagnostic skills
âś… Professional customer communication
âś… Clean notes, photos, and readings
âś… Pride in doing the job right
âś… Calm, confident problem solving
âś… EPA Universal & clean driving record required

Company truck, steady work, paid training, retirement match, PTO, uniforms, and growth opportunity with a third-generation family-owned company serving SWFL since 1960.

Not every AC issue starts as a breakdown.

Sometimes it starts as normal wear and tear that gets worse over time, especially in the SWFL weather!

A few common things we look for during maintenance:

• Damaged copper line insulation — when Armaflex breaks down, refrigerant lines are exposed to heat and sun
• Rusting fan guards/covers — if corrosion gets bad enough, parts can loosen, fail, or damage the condenser
• Loose wiring or conduit issues
• Weathered outdoor components

These aren’t always urgent emergencies, but they’re worth catching early.

That’s the point of routine maintenance: find small problems before they turn into expensive ones.

No scare tactics. No unnecessary extras. Just a clear look at what’s wearing out and what should be addressed.
