🔭 RFAREAS SPACE is launching development of a globally distributed network of optical sensors for the search of technosignatures from extraterrestrial civilizations.

The concept: not a single large telescope, but thousands of compact sensors deployed worldwide — on balconies, rooftops, in gardens — with their data combined into a unified scientific instrument, verified through blockchain.

For context — the largest active optical SETI programs (Harvard OSETI, PANOSETI, and SETI Institute's LaserSETI) rely on a few dozen instruments at most. We're betting on scale of a different order of magnitude.

The project is moving from concept to development: work is currently underway on the hardware prototype and network architecture. Engineering implementation details will be disclosed incrementally, as they reach readiness.

Open to dialogue with the scientific community. If we are not alone, there's a real chance we'll hear it first — not through a single telescope, but through thousands of eyes watching the sky at once.

Friends, need advice. We tried publishing our articles on Habr - seemed like the right place for scientific and semi-scientific pieces - but ran into blatant moderator abuse. Two of our posts got good views and positive community feedback, yet we were treated unfairly. We reached out to the owner but got no response. Can anyone recommend a reliable platform that respects science where we can publish articles for the CA region? Thanks.
