Rule #1 of hydraulic teardowns: Always check for the set screw! 😅🛠️

This piston head came into the shop already cut in half. The customer tried to remove it without taking out the set screw first, destroying the part in the process.
David Mcdonald jumped on it, started from scratch, and precision-machined a brand-new custom piston head on the lathe to get this cylinder back in service. Swipe to see the process from split-apart to perfect fit! ⚙️
