Looking for skilled teachers! The Department Trainer will train new hires on all core tasks within the department using the approved work instructions. In addition, to monitoring and evaluating the trainee’s job performance, they the right candidate (or he or she) will provide coaching and re-training for current employees. For the holidays, Allied volunteered to help the local chapter of Women in Electronics by partnering with 6 Stones, an organization that helps underprivileged families, for its Night of Hope. Employees helped create 1,000 kits for students in local school districts to make Advent Calendars. Thank you, Allied, for helping local parents and students have a happier holiday.

We love Tarrant Area Food Bank! Several of our Directors volunteered at TAFB one night after work, where they filled orders and re-stocked shelves. Their efforts provided food to more than 50 families! “It felt good to get out and help the community, and I can't wait to do it again,” said Stacey Ostermann, Director of Digital Product Content and organizer for the night. Allied Electronics & Automation attended the 8th Annual Red, White, and YOU! job fair at Global Life Park in Arlington, hosted by Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, Texas Workforce Commission, and Texas Veterans Commission. Great turnout with a lot of potential candidates!

Every year, Allied sponsors a team of engineering students at Colorado State University who compete in the NASA Robotics Mining competition, called Lunabotics this year. VP of eCommerce and Marketing Dan Stewart visited the university recently and met with this year’s team.

We have many employees who use our Tuition Reimbursement benefit to receive their masters in industrial distribution from Texas A&M. Recently, the university conducted a Lunch ‘n’ Learn that was attended by past graduates, current enrollees, and potential employees looking to advance their education and careers in distribution.
