On June 6, 1944, courage changed the course of history as more than 150,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy. Their bravery and sacrifice marked a turning point in World War II and helped open the path toward the liberation of Western Europe.
Today, we remember and honor those who served, those who fell, and the enduring legacy of their courage.
