The Back Story.. An insight into how we got here.. I would love to be able to say that the idea for this technology was the result of a single brilliant insight into the way motors
and generators work. However it actually started with the the premise of helping people in what we here in the West tend to call "the third world". The idea was to help these areas with their two greatest needs for long term survival and growth. Access to clean drinking water and some small measure of reliable electrical supply is absolutely critical. Most of these areas have large reservoirs of underground aquifers but no cheap or easy way to take advantage of it. And current wind turbines and solar technologies are expensive, not particularly robust and complex. It has been said that it wasn't the C**t 45 that won the west but rather the windmill. And for over a hundred and fifty years windmills have silently toiled over the landscape of the American West. Delivering water for crops and for thirsty humans and livestock. Inexpensive, simple, reliable and able to stand up to all of mother nature's furies. Yet totally unsuited for electrical production. Huge amounts of torque but no horsepower, exactly the opposite of what modern generators demand in order to function. Unless,, someway could be found to take advantage of that torque and operate at very slow speeds. It would be a significant boon to undeveloped areas if we could combine electrical and water production into a single simple machine. And after years of work we finally did exactly that. However implementation of this technology would be slow and expensive to develop and distribute. And a lot of skepticism would have to be overcome. Realizing the efficiency of this technology would be applicable to conventional motors and generators, it was obvious that one solution could lead to the other. Thus this new technology in motors and generators was conceived and developed.
