Today, we are proud to recognize 20 years of dedicated service by one of our valued team members, Blaine Spicer.

Blaine has been in our Assembly Dept for two decades and has been involved in building some of the most intricate and trickier feed systems during those years. He is one of our top welders and has proved to be very versatile.

We consider Blaine to be the “Ironman” of the industry (or at least our company) as he has only one unscheduled day off from work and that happened to be weather related. Very impressive. Blaine eagerly anticipates retirement in the next few years!

Blaine resides in Knightstown and has two adult children, Brittany and Hunter. He also has two grandchildren, Elise (4) and Opal (2).

Blaine enjoys spending time in his workshop when time permits doing metalworking as well as woodworking.

Congratulations on your 20-year Anniversary and thank you for being an important part of the Fortville Feeders family!

Today we celebrated Bill Beasley and Kevin Penrod’s 10 years of employment at Fortville Feeders.

Bill is our Feeder department Manager (just a title, as he does much, much more!)

After working in the food industry all through high school (Long John Silver’s), Bill answered an ad for a welding position at Automatron in Indianapolis. There he became an apprentice bowl tooler and he never looked back.

With Indianapolis being the “feeder capitol of the world”, Bill worked at many of the local feeder shops. His first stint with Fortville was in 1986 when our shop was located on Mill Street. Fast forward 30 years, and after 4 other tours of duty with Fortville, Bill has finally made it to his 10-year celebration!

Bill lives in Indianapolis with his wife of 18 years, Julie.

They have one son, Owlfie (their Yorkie Terrier)

In his down time, Bill enjoys hunting and fishing.

Kevin is our Chief Electrical Engineer.

Kevin worked part-time as an apprentice in the electrical dept. at Moorfeed where his father was an electrician. Upon graduation from high school in 1988, Kevin started full-time as an assistant electrician. Through the years in the industry, Kevin became proficient in drawing electrical schematics and PLC programs, among many other things.

Kevin lives on the west side of Indianapolis with his wife of 30 years. They have three adult children and 3 grandchildren.

In has spare time, Kevin spends time with his family, especially his father. On weekends, he enjoys watching his favorite TV shows, including Supernatural, Psych, and Big Bang Theory.
