Fountain Inn Natural Gas has officially begun work on a major infrastructure improvement project designed to strengthen system reliability and support the growing energy needs of our community.

The project includes nearly 3 miles of new 6-inch high-pressure steel gas line that will help improve system performance and reliability, especially during periods of extreme cold weather when demand is highest.

Construction is expected to continue through late 2026. Most of the work will take place within existing SCDOT right-of-way to help minimize impacts to surrounding properties and traffic.

We appreciate the community’s patience as this important investment moves forward and will continue sharing updates throughout the project.
