So many archives, Most of this barn was Tulip Poplar, it went from Indiana to Texas and was rebuilt, Lol looking at the young boys who are Jake Schwartz's, they have all grown up and still doing this, they were highly valued at such a young age and I know that they still are and may have become masters at barn repair, dismantle and rebuild, they currently work for uncle Ruben, The old Link Belt crane here had been to the moon and back and had proven to be extremely reliable, On another job in the future, When it sat and heard that I had bought a Grove, its parking brake decided to fail and it started to roll backwards where it would have collapsed over a small hill, possibly taking out a power line, landing in the middle of the road and ultimately might have rolled down a 100 yard hill on the other side. I must have been in my 50's because without hesitation I ran and jumped on it just like a cowboy climbing on a bull, jumped into the cab and hit the service brake saving a disaster. looking back that was probably foolish, not that fast now either, taking barns down can be dangerous. might be why there are so many stories in the community. I will make a post of the barn and crane, the barn was a gem, it was bought by someone who never put it back up and drug his decision over several years, this is a frustrating part for all of the people in the barn moving business. he wound up selling it out for parts to sports announcer Joe Buck and it is somewhere Denver
