We're growing! D and E is looking for an Interior Designer to join our team.

This role will lead interior design efforts on a variety of project types, with a strong focus on hospitality — from concept through construction documents, working closely with our architects, engineers, and clients along the way.

Beyond the technical skills and experience, we're really looking for someone who can lead — managing projects, building strong relationships with clients, and helping grow our interior design work. Design comes naturally to a lot of talented people, but the ability to lead a team and connect with clients is what sets someone apart.

A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and genuine, personable approach will go a long way with our team.

We are so glad to welcome Ellie Goodman to D and E full-time! She joined us back in December as an intern from University of Kansas and quickly made an impact in collaboration on our projects.

Ellie brings a great work ethic to projects, and her positive energy with the team blends in perfectly with who we are at D and E. We look forward to seeing her grow in her professional life over the coming years and are thankful to have her on board!

DandE is excited to welcome Kayla Tenison to the team as an Architectural Project Designer!

She holds both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to every project. What drew Kayla into the profession was her love for both the creative and technical aspects of design.

Her passion was sparked in high school, where an architectural drafting class inspired her to pursue architecture and develop her skills through internships, freelance work, and eventually international study focused on sustainable design. She enjoys collaborating with clients to transform ideas into functional, meaningful environments that leave a lasting impact.

Outside of the office, Kayla enjoys baking, caring for indoor plants and aquariums, creating handmade crafts, and running her Etsy shop, where she combines creativity with entrepreneurship.

We're excited to welcome Reagan Smith to the team as an architectural intern!

Originally from small-town Kansas and currently pursuing her Master of Architecture at Kansas State University, Reagan joins us this summer with a passion for thoughtful design and a desire to learn more about the construction side of architecture.

Reagan said she was drawn to DandE because of our dedication and intentionality - not just with our projects, but with her personally during the interview process. She's looking forward to gaining hands-on experience, providing practical design solutions, and learning from the talented team around her.
