A look back at the IIDA Tennessee Design Awards! 🎨

Our team submitted the M.L.Rose Inglewood project in the High-Velocity & Transactional Spaces category, showcasing the transformation of a 1940s building into community-focused, laid-back local burger bar in East Nashville.

The design team sought to evolve the brand's familiar identity while creating a timeless, visually engaging "third place" distinctly rooted in its East Nashville setting. We brought together the building’s original barrel-vaulted roof, M.L.Rose’s signature character, eclectic artwork, and a reimagined outdoor courtyard to create a space that feels right at home in the neighborhood.

Mya Agee represented DandE at the awards, connecting with fellow industry professionals and recognizing the creativity shaping interior design across Tennessee. We also appreciated the opportunity to learn more about IIDA Tennessee’s advocacy efforts and the Interior Designer. Period. campaign.

Thank you to IIDA Tennessee for bringing the design community together for a memorable evening!

A look inside a recent office design project for Bojangles!

Our design concept, Carolina Modern, blends the warmth of a Carolina farmhouse with the clean lines of a modern office. Warm wood tones, barn-inspired lighting, subtle textures, and black accents create a space that feels comfortable, welcoming, and distinctly Bojangles.

One of our favorite moments was presenting the concept to the client and hearing that it was exactly the direction they envisioned for the brand. Seeing that same design language carry through into Bojangles’ Carolina Legend prototype made the project even more rewarding.

From space planning and design development to custom millwork, FF&E, 3D renderings, and construction documents, our team brought the concept from idea to finished space.

If you're looking for a design partner for your next corporate office project, reach out to our team today - we'd love to hear from you.

We’re excited to see this Buffalo Wild Wings GO project getting ready to open next Tuesday in Glen Allen, VA! 🏈🍗

This marks our second GO location with Belle Holdings, Inc. as they grow their presence across the Virginia market. We’re proud to be part of that expansion and to help bring another location from concept to completion.

The project also features the new BWW GO branding we’ve been working alongside Inspire Brands to develop. We’re glad to see the new GO branding come to life and look forward to being part of what’s next!

A snapshot of recent wins from our in-house Permit Expediters 📃 ✅

Their process: thorough due diligence → jurisdiction submittals → active schedule tracking → consistent client updates → close coordination across departments → quick permit issuance.

The result of their hard work is fewer delays and fewer surprises.

If you have a permit-only need or a full-scope project you want expedited, reach out — we'd love to help.

We're growing! D and E is looking for an Interior Designer to join our team.

This role will lead interior design efforts on a variety of project types, with a strong focus on hospitality — from concept through construction documents, working closely with our architects, engineers, and clients along the way.

Beyond the technical skills and experience, we're really looking for someone who can lead — managing projects, building strong relationships with clients, and helping grow our interior design work. Design comes naturally to a lot of talented people, but the ability to lead a team and connect with clients is what sets someone apart.

A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and genuine, personable approach will go a long way with our team.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

Check out the job posting on our LinkedIn page, or head over to www.dandeinc.us/careers to apply today!

We are so glad to welcome Ellie Goodman to D and E full-time! She joined us back in December as an intern from University of Kansas and quickly made an impact in collaboration on our projects.

Ellie brings a great work ethic to projects, and her positive energy with the team blends in perfectly with who we are at D and E. We look forward to seeing her grow in her professional life over the coming years and are thankful to have her on board!
