On a quiet street in downtown Franklin is a home with many memories of families that have grown and gone. But this memory...this memory is of the family that grew and stayed. The family that grew the size of its footprint to fit their growing needs. On a quiet street in downtown Franklin is a home that once was 2100 square feet and now is 4200sq ft to make room for the big love and memories of its current family.

What started as a simple kitchen remodel in Werthan Lofts uncovered a piece of Nashville history: the original mid-to-late-1800s Douglas fir plank subfloor of the historic Werthan Bag Co buildings rotted beneath the floor.

When an exact replacement could not be sourced, we had new 2×8 Douglas fir planks custom-milled to match—preserving the historic fabric of Werthan Lofts while giving this home a fresh, functional new kitchen.

Yeah. We build that.
