Weekly Shop Update! 🏭🔨

Things are really starting to come together at the new shop!

A few things not shown in this week’s video:

🔹 C&S Heating and Cooling started installing the new furnaces in several areas of the building.

🔹 We relocated a door.

🔹 Roadrunner Security started installing our new alarm system.

🎨 And we’ve started painting! We’re probably about 70% done with the walls. Still have all the trim and doors to paint, though.

Slowly but surely, we’re getting there! Still plenty of work ahead of us, but it’s exciting seeing everything come together.

Fun, fun! 😂

🏗️ HTM Shop Update – 225 Industrial Drive! 🔧

Another busy week at Hobson Tool & Machine! We’re slowly but surely turning this building into our new home!

✅ Front Entry: The tile work is officially finished, and it looks great!

✅ Drywall: We’re getting close to wrapping up all the drywall work.

✅ Internet: We officially have internet up and running in the offices!

✅ Front Door: Our HTM logo is officially on the door! It’s the little things that make this place feel more like home.

🎨 What’s Next?

PAINT, PAINT, AND MORE PAINT! 😂

We’ve got a whole lot of walls to tackle before the new flooring starts going down. Painting kicks off this coming week, and I’m already looking forward to being done with it!

Every week we’re checking more things off the list. There’s still plenty of work ahead of us, but it’s exciting to see everything finally coming together.

Okay, this week has been very busy at HTM!

Earl and I have been having way too many squirrel moments, but somehow we are still getting a lot done. 😂

The office lighting upgrade is about 90% complete. Friday, Burton Flooring got started on our disastrous entryway, and hopefully they’ll have the brand-new tile going down Monday.

We also started the drywall work and even built a new wall. Big thanks to the guys we put in charge of doing most of this work—they’ve definitely been keeping things moving.

Now we’re officially on the clock. We have two weeks to get all 25 gallons of paint on the walls! I, for one, really hate painting, so this should be fun. 😂

But the good news is, we are finally getting close to the “end” of the office upgrades. There’s still plenty left to do at 225, but every week it’s starting to look a little less like a construction zone and a little more like the future home of HTM.

Not much of an update but we got some of the new LED lights up. HVAC work has begun in the office. Roof won’t be fixed until like mid October. At least the last rain we had we had zero leaks in the office so that great news.

So what we have here is a progress report!

The flooring has been ripped up, and even the tile underneath it is gone. The ceiling tiles are gone. The shelves in the room out in the shop are down for now. The new hole in the wall is done. Heck, we’ve even started painting the drop-ceiling grid!

Next week, we should have the roofing people coming out to seal everything up so it’s no longer raining inside. The week after that, some of the tile work starts, and in three weeks, the office tile will start going down.

Once the door gets done, we’ll have two weeks to finish the drywall work and paint all 3,500 square feet of office space before the tile starts going down.

We’re still waiting on Duke and our electricians to get more power to the building. Our electricians have a game plan for the offices, and hopefully they’ll get that sorted out before I run 4,000 feet of network cable!

This rain and mist are making it a little harder to move anything over today. Later, I’ll share some before pictures and show you where we are now!

I just wish Duke and our electrician could move a little faster. Cold weather is coming, and we’d really rather not be moving while it’s snowing! 😂
