Nothing groundbreaking here — just a simple way to make the process more efficient.
By gang cutting these parts, we only had to reposition the material 6 times instead of 210. That means more consistent parts, less measuring and handling material, and less operator time tied up at the saw.
The actual saw time per part may not change much, but while the saw is running, we can be changing parts in the CNC, welding, prepping the next job, or keeping something else moving.
We try to apply this mindset to everything we do in the shop. With a small crew and limited time, every minute counts. Finding simple ways to reduce handling, eliminate unnecessary steps, and keep multiple processes moving makes a big difference by the end of the day.
