When a veteran walks into the new home of the John R. Webb VFW Post 3285, they may never think about the contractor who built it.

But we thought about them.

We thought about the veterans who need a place filled with people who understand what they have experienced.

The meals that will be shared. The stories that will be told. The families who will find support. The friendships that can make a difficult season a little less heavy.

Because eventually, the contractor always fades into the background. But the building remains.

It's the place where our client's mission happens.

That is what Building Destinations means to us.

And it is why we are especially proud to share that Contour Construction has been named a Diamond Award Winner in the ABC Greater Baltimore Excellence in Construction Awards for the new home of the John R. Webb VFW Post 3285.

The award means a great deal to our team.

But what stands behind it means more: a building that will serve veterans, support families, preserve memories, bring people together, and give this organization a place to carry out its mission for generations.

We are grateful that the John R. Webb VFW Post 3285 trusted Contour to build it.

This is Building Destinations.

Brunswick’s railroad history isn’t just something to remember; it’s something the community can continue to experience.

The B&O Railroad Park transforms a historically significant space into a place for people to gather, explore, and connect with Brunswick's story. Throughout the project, preserving that connection to the past was just as important as creating something new.

Historic elements, including the commemorative railroad bell, watchtower, and original concrete steps from the former YMCA, remain part of the site, while new walkways with railway-inspired details, custom swings, seating, an observation deck, and space for markets and community activities give the park a new purpose.

The result is a public space that feels distinctly Brunswick: rooted in its railroad heritage, built for its community, and ready for the next chapter.

Contour’s Design-Build expertise brought the vision together, preserving the details that tell Brunswick’s story while developing the creative, functional solutions that make the park a destination for the community today.

Building Destinations.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

For 250 years, the United States has stood as a beacon of freedom, opportunity, courage, honor, and integrity. We are blessed to live in a nation where hard work, determination, and liberty make the pursuit of our dreams possible.

Today, we proudly celebrate this incredible country and honor the generations who have defended the freedoms we enjoy every day.

From all of us at Contour Construction, Happy Independence Day—and God Bless the United States of America.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, we are reminded that the freedoms, opportunities, and way of life we enjoy today were secured through sacrifice. For nearly two and a half centuries, generations of Americans have answered the call to serve with courage, honor, and selflessness.

Today is more than a long weekend. It is a day of remembrance for those who never made it home.

May we never take their sacrifice for granted, and may we continue striving to build a nation worthy of the price they paid.

Land of the free because of the brave.

Strong leadership sets the standard for others long before it asks others to follow.

Today, we are proud to celebrate our CEO, Chris Parsell, on graduating from the Leadership Frederick County program.

As leaders, it is easy to become consumed by the day to day demands of business. What makes great leaders different is their willingness to continue learning, growing, listening, and investing in the people and communities around them. Over the past several months, Chris chose to do exactly that alongside other leaders throughout Frederick County.

Leadership Frederick County is designed to challenge and develop leaders who are committed to making a lasting impact in our community. Chris’s participation demonstrates that true leadership is built in the daily commitment to growth, humility, and the small choices that continually raise the standard for yourself and those around you.

By continuing to invest in personal growth, community involvement, and servant leadership, Chris continues to set the tone for our team, our industry, and the future we are helping build throughout Frederick County.

Congratulations, Chris, on this well deserved accomplishment. We are proud to follow your example.

City of Brunswick, MD adopted a new flag and this one hit close to home.

The control tower featured in the design is part of our B&O Railroad Park project. A structure that represents Brunswick’s deep railroad history is now part of how the city tells its story moving forward.

It is not every day you get to work on something that becomes part of how a city represents itself. Moments like this are a reminder that what we build carries meaning far beyond the project itself. We are honored to be in an industry that plays a critical role in building and preserving what makes a town feel like home and what allows its legacy to endure.

Proud of our team and grateful to play a role in something that will last.
