It’s show season! With jackpot shows running and 4-H shows just around the corner, it’s as important as ever to make sure your show animals are in tiptop shape. Remember that there is no additive out there than can make up for a subpar nutrition program. Give your show stock a properly balanced diet and you’ll be well on your way to success. In addition, make sure to consider things like deworming, parasite management, and fly control in your show prep. Animals carrying parasite loads will not be able to grow and gain as efficiently as animals that have been treated. Flies not only cause stress to the animal but can also transmit diseases such as pinkeye. Get the most out of your nutrition program by keeping pests and parasites at bay.

Goat Fun Fact: Ever notice how weird goat eyes look? Those horizontal pupils serve a purpose! They help give them a wider field of vision to keep an eye out for predators…or that fresh bag of Famo Feed’s goat pellets being opened up!
