These two massive apartments were supplied by 1-100 amp service….and yes, each unit had 1-100 amp/20 circuit panel that was overloaded .

It was time for my client to upgrade and consider future upgrades…They wanted future breaker expansion for the future Heat Pump System for each apartment.

Two -200amp meter socket disconnects with 8-16 breaker spaces in each disconnect(outside).
Looking in the future with foresight is what I recommend.
It is easy as can be when the electrical breakers can support/supply power for the heat pumps from the outside of the structure vs obtaining power from the inside of the structure.
Keep it simple.

Things you find in a electrical panel..
Part 2:
1) Double tapped 2pole 50amp breaker (range wires & homeowner half ass generator setup-dryer connection)🤪😜🤪😜. Essentially two massive wires on a breaker that is not listed and labeled for more than one set of wires.
2) A bad breaker with weak tabs causing a bad connection and the breaker/ bus bar to arc… ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

This is why good work isn’t cheap and cheap work is NOT good!

Today’s Job Site Spotlight Dog.
A neighbors senior dog stopped by for a few dog treats…he took his snack and quietly disappeared..
I walked to my van,stepped in for a few…slowly to back out and be greeted by this lovely boy. He sniffed and became familiar with me.
I’ll return in a few days with some treats for him. Looking forward to seeing him again.
