CHECK YOUR FILTERS!!!

Do you REMEMBER the last time you changed your furnace filter?

I can't tell how many times a customer will call for service on a furnace that has stopped working, only to find out that the filter was not being changed on a monthly basis.

Whats the Big deal?
Out of sight , out of mind. Neglecting to change your furnace filter reduces overall performance, waste energy and can breakdown your furnace. Dirty filters restrict air flow and only make your system work harder, shortening the life of your furnace.

How often should you check filters?
Once a month. Hold the filter up to the light , if you cannot clearly see light shining through, it's time to CHANGE THE FILTER. Smokers and pet owners may have to check more frequently.

The best filter.
Low-cost fiberglass will adequately guard your system's blower against dirt build up ,but, it won't improve INDOOR AIR QUALITY. You may need to a select a filter with a minimum Efficiency reporting value of 8-12;however Be CAREFUL!!!! . CONSULT YOUR MANUAL or consult your HVAC CONTRACTOR for the right filter. The WRONG filter can CHOKE your unit also.
