At its Canonsburg, Pennsylvania campus, Ansys/Synopsys invested in a 333 kW rooftop system to reduce long-term operating costs while advancing ESG and carbon reduction goals.

Installed by Pennsylvania Solar Energy Co Inc and powered by Enphase IQ8P-3P Microinverter technology, the system is expected to generate 425,867 kWh annually and deliver more than $3 million in estimated lifetime savings.

For installer Blake Reedy, the decision came down to long-term value:

Enphase has begun shipments of IQ Gateway Fusion in India, bringing solar backup to homes during daytime power cuts, even without a home battery.

Designed to work with IQ8 Microinverters, IQ Gateway Fusion keeps essential loads running on solar when the grid goes down. It can also be paired with a home UPS to use solar for charging during the day, helping extend backup runtime and recharge the UPS the next morning if an outage continues overnight.

IQ Gateway Fusion combines the IQ Gateway, IQ Relay, and a built-in power socket in a single compact unit.
