The Anthony Timberlands Center for Design and Innovation was conceived as a “Story Book of Timber”, a building where wood is both the structure and the enclosure. Bringing together design, construction innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainability, the building’s form responds directly to Fayetteville’s climate.

At the center of the project is a tall atrium that connects a large fabrication shop on the ground level with teaching and critique spaces above. This visual and physical connection reinforces the relationship between making and learning. Students and faculty can see work happening across levels, strengthening collaboration and shared experience. Upper-level spaces overlook both the shop and the surrounding landscape tying education to place.

Two fixtures provided by Designplan Lighting, Inc. for this project came from two of our partner companies.

FLAT EVO 3 is a surface mounted LED floodlight by Light At Motion of Italy that was mounted in indoor and outdoor areas pointed up to create an even propagation of light. An aluminum finish, with asymmetric optics and a color temperature of 3000K. It is available in 5 standard finishes and 7 optics options including road, elliptical and asymmetric.

EYE L 600 is an outdoor linear ceiling fixture from Landa Lighting that can be recessed, surface-mounted, or used as a floodlight offering high lumen efficiency and precise beam control with 5 optics options. For the Timberlands Center project, the projector version was used with grazing optics and a gray finish.

Located at the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lt. Col. Leroy Pond Avenue, the building serves as a visible marker for the university and the city of Fayetteville. During the day, its timber structure is clearly expressed while at night, it glows from within. More than a facility, the Anthony Timberlands Center is a working demonstration of how timber and lighting can shape sustainable, forward-looking architecture.

Designed to enhance walls and facades, NEVA PRO by L&L Luce&Light gently washes across surfaces, transforming vertical planes into lines of light. The fixture’s discreet presence highlights material properties through grazing effects that respect darkness and visual comfort. Its clean, frameless design integrates perfectly into the architecture, allowing its light to emerge in a controlled, uniform way, with no streaking.

The range offers a wide variety of lighting solutions: from narrow, well-defined beams for more incisive lighting to diffuse outputs with a softer, more uniform distribution, to asymmetrical solutions ideal for wall-washing applications on vertical surfaces.

New-generation elliptical optics deliver flawless wall-grazing effects from the base, without streaks or spill, ensuring uniform light distribution and excellent visual comfort even near paths and walks.

Tunable White and RGBW full-color configurations are also available, enabling dynamic, color-rich lighting scenes. Honeycomb louvers and micro-louvers help reduce glare and spill.

Neva Pro 3 and 4 versions are available with a built-in 120VAC power supply and in/out wiring for continuous-line installations. The other versions all require a Remote Driver (sold separately). An IP66–IP67 protection rating and IK06 impact resistance ensure maximum reliability in outdoor environments.

A new private residence project using LED Italy SRL’s Linea Luce collection has been completed in Cuneo, Italy. A welcoming and stylishly furnished home calling for LED lighting that highlights the designer interiors.

Three new pendants – HAROO, EVA, DANDY – have been introduced by Renzo Serafini Lighting of Italy that offer the cohesive look of a luminaire family, while each one also being unique in its own right.

HAROO has a two cylindrical disc lampshades with the light between and an integrated power supply and dual switching. It is finished in matte black and burnished brass with details in natural brass.

DANDY has a brass body with an aluminum cylinder housing the downward light source and a disc sitting atop. It has a black fabric power cable and integrated power supply.

EVA is a pendant with a body made of two brass bowl shapes, steel canopy, black fabric power cable and an integrated power supply.
