Cleared for flight ✈️

After years of hard work from the team and close collaboration with the FAA, Heart Aerospace’s X1 was issued a Special Airworthiness Certificate, authorizing us to begin crewed flight testing.

With a 106-foot wingspan, X1 is expected to be the largest electric aircraft ever flown.

Late May 2026: Heart Aerospace's X1 demonstrator completed low-speed taxi testing in late May at the company's X1 flight-test base at Plattsburgh International Airport in upstate New York, marking an important milestone in the aircraft's ground-testing program ahead of FAA special airworthiness certification and first flight.
