The 3D Labs HTX printing high-temperature Essentium Duratem material.
Duratem is a distinct composite material composed of polyetherimide (PEI), polycarbonate (PC), and siloxane. It stands out in the realm of high-temperature materials for its exceptional impact strength, which is approximately 30 kilojoules per square meter. This robustness makes it five times stronger than PEI 9085 and nine times more durable than PEKK. Duratem's primary resin satisfies the UL 94V-0 flame testing standards when measured at 1.6 millimeters and adheres to FAR 25.853 standards regarding flammability, heat release, smoke density, and toxicity. Additionally, it includes a non-halogenated flame retardant to enhance health and safety.
