We are seeking a Shipping / Receiving Clerk to join our Anderson-Negele team who will be responsible for daily processing of receipts and shipments in our Fultonville, NY location. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork skills. As a Shipping / Receiving Clerk you will continuously learn and develop that will help drive career path within Shipping and Manufacturing.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm and any mandatory overtime

In this role you will:
• Unload daily inbound shipments of purchased materials and verify accuracy of receipts to purchase orders.
• Ensure receipts comply with purchase order specifications. Identify and report shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies.
• Processing of necessary receiving paperwork to include Packing Lists and material certification transactions
• Ability to drive a forklift in a safe and efficient manner (Forklift certification required)
• Comply with kanban system procedures.
• Ensure proper identification of kanban bin, accuracy of kanban quantities and distribution of goods to appropriated stocking locations and assembly cells.
• Maintain first-in/first-out (FIFO) and presentation of material in the stocking locations
• Monitor cell outbound shelves and pick-up items ready for shipping
• Ensure shipments match customer order
• Determines the best packaging option depending on the size, contents and shipping method
• Ensure all proper shipping paperwork and computer entries are accurately completed for all shipments daily
• Comply with all import / export compliance regulations
• Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area at all times.
• Ensure proper inventory level of materials within area of responsibility (cardboard, packing paper, stock items etc.)
On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Strong computer skills including ability to navigate ERP systems, web-based and MS Office applications
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact at various all levels within the organization
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 75lbs
