Keith recently helped a homeowner when their heat pump stopped working after hours, and the experience is a perfect example of what sets Dawson’s Electric & Air apart. We’re incredibly excited to celebrate Travis and Nikki Dawson, who have been named recipients of the Triangle Business Journal Community Champion Award!

Giving back has always been important to Travis and Nikki, and they’ve made it a priority to find ways to help the people and organizations in the communities around us.

They’ve adopted local families and children at Christmas, helped local teachers with school supplies, donated a free HVAC system to a family in need, supported breast cancer research, donated food to local food pantries at Thanksgiving, and volunteered with Special Olympics.

They don’t do these things for recognition. They do them because they believe in taking care of the community that has supported Dawson’s for so many years.

We’re so proud to have Travis and Nikki leading our company and setting the example for what it means to be a local business that truly cares about its community.

Older homes can come with older electrical components and deteriorating breakers are one issue homeowners shouldn’t ignore. ⚡️

Our team recently responded to a no-power call in Holly Springs on a property being prepared for new construction. The main breaker wouldn’t reset, and our electrician found severe corrosion, deterioration, and buildup around the breaker and connection points. The breaker had failed internally and needed to be replaced to safely restore power.

As electrical components age, corrosion, repeated use, and environmental exposure can contribute to breaker failure. If your breaker won’t reset or keeps tripping, don’t keep forcing it back on. It could be a sign of a larger electrical issue.
