This , we're spotlighting AI-generated imagery research at the University of Florida! 🔒

Led by Dr. Kevin Butler in UF Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering, this research explores how artificial intelligence is being used to create non-consensual imagery and how to protect vulnerable populations.

Supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the team studies major websites that facilitate the creation of this imagery to better understand how they operate. This research could help inform policymakers and regulators working to address the harm these platforms cause.

This , we're spotlighting research focused on improving HIV treatments at The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology! 🧬

Led by Dr. Susana Valente, professor and chair of the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, the research explores how HIV interacts with host cells to replicate, with the goal of developing more durable therapies.

The lab is working to block low-level viral expression to help prevent viral rebound and reduce chronic inflammation, with potential implications for immunology, neurology, Alzheimer's disease, and beyond.
