Geosyntec Consultants Bahamas (Limited) and ATM, a Geosyntec Company, recently hosted a two-day presentation on Coastal Engineering Challenges in the Bahamas in Nassau and Freeport.

The event featured insightful presentations from Chuck Whisman, Todd Manson, Sam Phlegar, Heath Hansell, Pete Peterson, and Tristan Albury who shared their expertise on addressing critical coastal challenges.

ATM wins “BIG” this year! On behalf of our clients, ATM procured $7.5M in federal funding through the federal Boating Infrastructure Grant (BIG) program in the FY2024 funding cycle. This included five individual $1.5M awards across five different states and represents 43% of the total Tier 2 federal funding awarded through the program this year. To date, ATM has obtained 61 BIG awards, totaling more than $51.2M in 12 states and territories to support our clients’ projects. The Central Reach Reimbursement Project (CRR) in Holden Beach, North Carolina, and the Florida Joint Nourishment Project in the three Florida municipalities, the cities of Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach and Town of Hillsboro Beach, were selected as Best Restored Beach award winners. The Best Restored Beach award project teams, which include ATM, a Geosyntec Company, were honored during the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association ASBPA Coastal Summit 2024 in Washington, D.C. We are happy for our clients and grateful to have played a role in these projects promoting coastal resilience.
