With just two weeks left of this cross-country adventure, we’re soaking up every last mile, mountain view, unexpected stop, and little bit of magic along the way.

Then it’s back to business — with plenty to look forward to. 🏡✨

We’re excited to feature Kara Bolton Homes’ first home built on Hatteras Island in this year’s Parade of Homes. 🏡🌊

And then, the countdown is on at Fairway Pointe in Newberry, Florida — just outside Gainesville. Only a final few new homes remain, featuring enhanced designer finishes and thoughtful details throughout.

For now, though… we’ll keep following the road — and apparently, the rainbows. 🌈🚙✨

🏡✨ WE’RE BREAKING GROUND IN FAIRWAY POINTE! ✨🏡

What an exciting milestone for Kara Bolton Homes — our first Florida groundbreaking of 2026! 🎉

Construction is officially underway on the Madi Model on Lot 66 in Fairway Pointe at West End, and we couldn’t be more excited for our newest homeowner! 💙 We are truly delighted that she has placed her trust in Kara Bolton Homes to build her new home, and we can’t wait to watch it come to life.

Building a beautiful home takes a great team, and I’m especially grateful for the people helping keep things moving while I finish up my summer adventures and make my way back to Florida this fall.

✨The Big Reveal… Waterwoman’s Oasis ✨

A year ago, this was simply a dream.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to share Waterwoman’s Oasis—a home built with equal parts experience, determination, and faith.

For twenty years, Kara Bolton Homes has been building homes and relationships that have shaped my life. This journey to Hatteras Island challenged me in ways I never imagined. It meant stepping into a new market, learning new building methods, earning the trust of new trade partners, and believing that one more leap of faith was worth taking.

There were moments of uncertainty, but there were also so many people who reminded me to keep going.
To my family—thank you for believing in me.
To my dear friend and adventure partner, Amariliz Gonzalez, thank you for encouraging me to dream bigger.

To my Gainesville team—Michael Hughes, Adam Geary and Kitchen Design Studios, and Rob Deese with Capital City Bank—thank you for your friendship, confidence, and support over the years. You helped make this leap of faith possible.

To my incredible Hatteras Island trade partners, thank you for welcoming me into your community and sharing your craftsmanship with this project. A special thank you to Michael Parrish and Aaron Burgess with ELS OBX and the many talented local professionals whose exceptional service, pride in their work, and commitment to quality brought Waterwoman’s Oasis to life. I am grateful to be building alongside you.

As Kara Bolton Homes celebrates 20 years of building homes on July 17th, I realize this home isn’t just another project. It represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter—one rooted in craftsmanship, adventure, and a passion for creating exceptional coastal homes.

I hope when you watch this video, you see more than beautiful finishes and coastal design. I hope you feel the heart behind every decision, every challenge overcome, and every dream that made this home possible.

Today, Kara Bolton Homes celebrates 20 years. 🏡💙

Twenty years ago, I took a leap of faith with a dream to build homes—and more importantly, to build relationships, trust, and communities.

Since then, we’ve had the privilege of building hundreds of homes, weathering changing markets, celebrating incredible successes, overcoming difficult challenges, and helping so many families begin new chapters of their lives.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing clients who trusted me, the talented trade partners and suppliers who shared my commitment to quality, my incredible team, supportive lenders, Realtors, mentors, friends, and my family who believed in me every step of the way.

From Gainesville, Florida, to Hatteras Island, North Carolina, this journey has been filled with lessons, gratitude, and opportunities beyond anything I could have imagined.

From the bottom of my heart…thank you for being part of these first 20 years.

🌿 Friday Feels 🌿

One of my favorite details in Fairway Pointe at West End is the landscape buffer between the sidewalk and the white picket fence.

A simple hedge of rosemary, holly, liriope, and drift roses creates a soft layer of privacy while maintaining the welcoming, neighbor-friendly character of the community. As these plants mature, they add texture, color, fragrance, and curb appeal throughout the neighborhood.

It’s a small detail, but thoughtful landscaping helps transform a house into a home and a street into a beautiful place to walk, visit, and enjoy.

A Little Design Inspiration in Charleston ✨

Now that construction is complete at Waterwoman’s Oasis, it’s time for one of my favorite phases… bringing the home to life.

I had the best experience visiting Serena & Lily—the showroom is everything you’d expect: light, bright, and beautifully curated in a way that makes decision-making feel effortless instead of overwhelming.

Joan was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering thoughtful guidance while still letting me explore and refine the vision for the space.

Every piece I selected feels like it belongs in Waterwoman’s Oasis—relaxed, coastal, and elevated.
