West Central FS, Inc., Macomb merged into Riverland FS, Inc., Galesburg on September 1, 2012, officially combining operations of their agricultural supply, retail and commercial energy and grain marketing organizations. This new cooperative will provide many advantages to our customers, and will be able to offer a wider range of products and more specialized services to meet their needs, as well a
s realize greater efficiencies in our day-to-day operations. The two boards of directors will combine to form a 16-member group, with eight members from each previous company’s geography. New officers were elected the first week of September. As some of the first FS cooperatives formed in Illinois, we stand proud of our heritage and look forward to a bright future ahead, continuing our tradition of distributing cash back to our patron-owners through patronage and stock redemptions. The newly-merged organization is doing business as West Central FS, Inc., and will continue to serve more than 6,000 patrons from 29 service centers in northern Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, and Warren counties in Illinois and Lee County in Iowa.
