Here’s to the exciting next chapter for the Roosevelt Fire District as we break ground on the new fire station at 51 Park Ave! Since 1912, these hardworking emergency responders have been a vital part of the Roosevelt Community. This new building replaces a former structure to better serve their needs, enabling them to support the northeast section of Roosevelt more effectively. We are thrilled to be managing this important project in conjunction with JCM Architecture, P.C. and Metro Group of Long Island, Inc. as well as the teams at Roland's Electric, Inc., Maccarone Plumbing, Inc. and Traditional Air Conditioning Systems & Service.

In celebration of the diversity of ethnicity in Nassau County, Bruce A. Blakeman, Nassau County Executive, honored Elite Construction CEO, Michael E. Reed and President, Eze O. Small at the well-attended 2025 International Music Night Concert Series at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park. A great finish to the summer… Elite Construction of NY concluded our annual internship program with a fantastic fellowship luncheon. Our four engineering students were able to apply their academic knowledge to several real-world construction projects over the summer, gaining valuable hands-on experience that enriched their expertise and supported their career growth. We appreciate your professionalism, enthusiasm, and active participation throughout the program and wish you well in your upcoming Fall Semester!

This week’s DASNY’s Design & Construction Project Management Conference hosted a panel discussion featuring Downstate CMs weighing in on trending topics including project delivery methods, bidding activity, and new technologies affecting the construction industry. Michael Reed, CEO of Elite Construction of NY, was honored to join colleagues in contributing valuable insight to the 140+ DASNY PMs in attendance. The discussion may support process improvements for DASNY projects in the future.

A great way to start the new year is to get outside and exercise. Today, there was plenty of activity at Hempstead Lake State Park which also included a marriage proposal at the Overlook Tower. From this program assignment, Elite was recognized with the 2021 & 2023 Construction Management Association of America NY/NJ Metro Chapter MWBE Managed Project of the Year Award.

Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Turtle Hook MS Additions and Renovation Project!

Part of the Uniondale UFSD’s $158M Capital Improvements Program, the completion of Turtle Hook Middle School marks the 7th successful district project for the Triton-Elite construction management team. The ribbon cutting ceremony was well-attended by district leadership, community members and students, and the CM team, and granted public access to the
new auxiliary gym with fresh lockers and classrooms, a 2nd floor classroom wing, expanded general-purpose room, renovated library media center, and an expanded music wing. Additionally, the community can enjoy the new tennis/pickleball courts, and resurfaced track.

The Elite team, as Construction Manager of this $47 million parks program, excitingly attended the Northern Ponds ribbon cutting at Long Island’s Hempstead Lake State Park. We joined State Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid and State Senator Kevin Thomas in celebrating the completion of this improvements project, with nearly $17 million allocated to mitigate flood risk of the Mill River, reduce pollution via a storm trap system that catches trash before entering the ponds, and improve its recreational trails. Amazingly, 100 tons of trash and debris was removed from the park, BY HAND, in just one year! ⁠

As one of their largest wetlands projects, this is a great accomplishment for NYS Parks, employing the construction of eight acres of emergent wetlands to purify the water before it enters the Northeast Pond.⁠

Per NYS Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid, "The culmination of these vital infrastructure projects will help make the Hempstead Lake State Park and surrounding communities safer and more resilient to future storms while improving access to outdoor recreation in the community. These fortification efforts will help ensure the structural integrity of the dam and continues our exceptional work to improve Hempstead Lake State Park and make it more welcoming to visitors."⁠
