With heavy hearts, Guttenberg Industries says goodbye to Lyndon Meyer, who passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Lyndon joined Guttenberg Industries in August of 1987 and quickly endeared himself to everyone he met. Always ready with a quick-witted quip, he greeted others with a genuine smile that left a lasting impression. Throughout his career, Lyndon served in various roles, including shipping, warehouse, and receiving. As the company grew, he honed his craft and took pride in helping train and mentor generations who followed. A true friend not only to the company but also to the founding family, Lyndon’s devotion was evident in everything he did. Whether arriving early to clear snow, stopping in on weekends to check on the building, or lending a hand after hours, he was always willing to go the extra mile. He continued working with dedication until his body refused. Outside of work, Lyndon was equally committed to his community, serving 30+ years as a volunteer firefighter and three terms (12 years) on the Garnavillo City Council. A friend to all who knew him, Lyndon will be deeply missed. His family would like to invite the public to join them for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 6, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Garnavillo Fire Station to honor Lyndon’s memory.
