REMINDER for our customers with HEAT PUMP condensers. Moisture with below freezing temps can cause ice to build up on the blades & possibly cause damage to your condenser. The condenser will also spend more time in defrost mode causing it to not operate efficiently and you to possibly feel colder in your home. If you experience any of these issues, it’s a GREAT IDEA to SWITCH YOUR SYSTEM TO EMERGENCY HEAT until this winter storm is over.

🌬️ Stay Warm, central TX!🌬️
Hey y’all, we know it’s going to be colder than a polar bear’s toenails out there, and the winter storm’s got everyone huddling up. First things first: stay safe, stay warm, and look out for each other.
Now, if you find yourself suddenly turning into a popsicle because your heat’s not working, let’s run through a quick checklist:
1. Check the Obvious: Do you have power? If the answer’s no, well… that’s step one! No power, no heat, and unfortunately we can’t fix the power lines from here. But if the lights are on and you’re still freezing, keep reading!
2. Thermostat Check: Make sure it didn’t get bumped or switched off. If it’s got batteries, check those. If it’s set to “cool” instead of “heat,” we promise we’re not judging—but flip it to heat!
3. Filter and Vents: Sometimes it’s as simple as a clogged filter making your system throw a tantrum. Swap it out if it’s been a while and see if that helps.
And for the fun part: if you’ve done all that and still no luck, that’s when you give us a shout. Basically, if the problem’s not “I forgot to pay the gas/electric bill” or “I left the front door open,” or “everyone around us is also without power” we’re here to help!
