🏡 From Flooded Basement to Future Dance Studio! 💃🚜

Every great renovation starts with solving the real problem—not just covering it up.

This Gatlinburg homeowner has always wanted to finish their basement, but every heavy rain brought water inside. Before we build the dream, we have to eliminate the water.

This week, the Dream Builder Construction team is installing a complete water management system designed to protect this home for years to come.

✔️ Excavated around the home
✔️ Installed a new underground water diversion system with heavy-duty Schedule 40 PVC piping
✔️ Preparing for 6” seamless gutters and oversized downspouts that will tie directly into the new subsurface drainage system
✔️ Interior perimeter drains will be installed before the new concrete slab is poured
✔️ A brand-new asphalt driveway is coming next!

We’re not just waterproofing a basement—we’re creating the foundation for something special.

This vacation rental had 3 deteriorated exterior door openings with rotten subfloor damage that needed immediate attention. Our team:

✔️ Removed the existing exterior doors
✔️ Repaired and replaced the rotten subfloor framing
✔️ Installed brand-new exterior doors
✔️ Sealed everything up for a weather-tight finish
✔️ Cleaned the entire work area before leaving

✨ BEFORE & AFTER – 6TH FLOOR COMMERCIAL CONDO REMODEL ✨

What started as an outdated condo with low drop ceilings is quickly becoming a modern, open-concept living space.

This project required much more than simply hanging drywall. After removing the existing drop ceilings, we engineered and built custom metal ceiling framing anchored directly into the concrete structure above. We then relocated HVAC ductwork, installed new electrical circuits, rewired lighting and switches, and completely transformed the ceiling layout.

Current Progress:

🔨 Custom metal ceiling framing completed
⚡ New electrical circuits, wiring, and switches completed
💡 New recessed lighting installed
💡 New linear pendant/island light installed
🌬️ HVAC ductwork and register relocation completed
🧱 All Sheetrock hung, taped, floated, and finished
🎨 Ready for primer and paint

The before-and-after photos show just how much can be accomplished with proper planning, skilled craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

🔨 6TH FLOOR COMMERCIAL CONDO REMODEL UPDATE 🔨

This commercial condo renovation is wrapping up this week, and the transformation has been incredible!

We removed the old popcorn texture from the concrete ceilings in the living room, dining room, and bedroom, then applied a fresh knockdown texture for a modern updated look.

The kitchen and bathroom required a more extensive renovation. After removing the existing drop ceilings, our crew designed and built custom metal ceiling joists anchored directly into the concrete ceiling structure. This created the framework needed for the new ceiling system while allowing us to reconfigure mechanical and electrical systems.

Project highlights:
⚡ New electrical circuits installed for appliances, lighting, and switches
🌬️ HVAC ductwork and registers relocated for better performance
🏗️ Custom metal ceiling framing fabricated and installed
🏠 Concrete ceilings updated with modern knockdown texture
📋 Sheetrock installation starts tomorrow
