Good morning everyone from Harwell's AC. Just wanted to take a minute of your time to explain a few things I see time after time in the field, these temps we are having are extreme and not typical temps we see everyday. I was doing the final yesterday saturday 7-6-19 on a new home in saucier and as you can see in the picture it was 101(ambient temp) and 47% humidity that was in the shade. As you can see it was 74 inside. I just turned the stat from 75 to 72 about 30 minutes prior to this. So the actual delta temp was 27 degrees cooler than outside. Setting up an AC in your home is not just taking square footage and saying you need this size AC. There are many factors that go into giving you the proper size AC system you need for your comfort. If your thinking of changing your Ac system because someone has told you that you just need to put a bigger system in, I will personally come evaluate your home for several other factors that give you a fix for 1/4 of the cost, I will personally walk you through every step of issues that are occurring other than your ac to make you feel more comfortable and possibly lower your heating and cooling bill. I know some people think the more ac the better, you can do more harm than good, I have actually seen mold growth due to oversized ac systems. High humidity levels in your home due to oversized ac systems is becoming a daily issue. One way you can test for yourself is if your not feeling comfortable at 74 or 75 in your home and feeling like you need to keep turning down the thermostat and you fill that sticky feeling on your skin you could possibly be oversized or having some infiltration of humidity.
