What we are looking for in a Solar PV Installer

Skilled: Construction-related experience in an area such as roofing or electrical work.

Active: Able to climb ladders, work from a roof, use hand tools, lift up to 75 lbs., and perform the physical work required of solar panel installation and site preparation.

Safety Conscious: Use all required PPE, including safety harness. Certified in or willing to obtain OSHA 10, First Aid & CPR. Driver's license with a clean or good driving record.

Team Player: Humble. Good communicator. Hard worker.

Passionate: Excited about Solar Energy. Desire to continuously learn and build your knowledge and skills

Knowledgeable: Able to read drawings and apply NEC code requirements. Associates' degree or certificate from a trade school OR equivalent

Join a well-established, award winning solar installation company, with a focus on commercial & agricultural projects

Receive competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package

Work on projects ranging in size from 2 kW to 2 MW, with an average size of 55 kW

Install both ground-mount and roof-mount solar systems on customers' jobsites

Linda Walklet-Riker, owner of 911 Earth in Athens, PA, now has solar at her Litchfield home!

Congratulations Linda! She now has 100% of her electricity covered by solar.

She had some shade to contend with in her remote location, but we were still able to cover her consumption. Remember that although having no shade and a south facing location are ideal conditions, we are constantly able to make systems work well (and still have them be very profitable) with some shade and East/West roofs (or ground mounts).

There is now a 30% Federal tax credit available for all solar systems! When you pair up this tax credit with ever increasing electricity prices most will find that solar can be a great investment opportunity for their home or business.

There is also state incentives for NY including a $5,000 residential state tax credit and NYSERDA grants (which NYSERDA will often save 10% of the project cost)!

For most homes solar will be able to pay for itself in 9-16 years and we have 25 year warranties on our solar panels (which are made in the US and Canada).

Businesses can also take advantage of accelerated depreciation for solar (80% of the installed cost can also be written of the first year in addition to the 30% tax credit)

If you are thinking about going solar now is the time. Local electricity prices have gone up rapidly!

There is still a 26% federal tax credit on all solar installs completed in 2022. This means that 26% of the installed cost comes back to you as a tax credit!

NY also still has a $5,000 state tax credit for residential systems and there is also a NYSERDA grant that eliminates 10-15% of the installed cost!

Remember that NY residential installs receive a $5,000 state tax credit and a NYSERDA grant that saves an additional 10%…….when these NY state grants are paired with the 26% federal tax credit it leads to solar projects in NY being able to recover 50% or more of their investment the first year!

Even simple systems for homes can typically earn 7-11% return PER YEAR over their 30+ year lifespan…..far outpacing bonds, CDs, and other passive income sources!

All homeowners and businesses who install solar in 2022 are eligible for a 26% federal tax credit. Act now because this credit drops to 22% next year.

In NY state there is also a 25% state tax credit (capped at $5,000) for all projects plus an additional NYSERDA grant that saves about 10% more!
