I realized I share a lot of the custom work we do, but not much about the people behind it.

I’m Jay Burns, owner of Oz Metal Craft.

I grew up in the Mississippi Delta and have called Northwest Arkansas home since 1989, other than about five years my wife Melissa and I spent in Michigan. We’ve raised our three kids here, and this is home.

I’ve always liked building things, solving problems and figuring out how to take an idea and make it work in the real world. That’s still probably my favorite part of what I do.

That might mean a custom railing one day and a completely one-off metal fabrication project the next.

I’m not much for talking about myself, so most of what you’ll see on this page will probably continue to be the work… But I figured an introduction was overdue.

Installing a railing system into structural steel means every mounting point has to be where it belongs. This setup lets us drill accurately on site and keep the installation moving without sacrificing precision.

There’s a lot more to a glass railing this size than setting panels in place. A long, continuous run like this starts with the layout — getting every mounting point positioned, every panel aligned, and every spacing detail right so the finished railing is one clean line.

With a frameless glass railing, there’s nowhere for mistakes to hide. Precise mounting, consistent spacing, level glass, and clean alignment are what make the finished system look effortless.

The minimal black hardware gives the glass the support it needs without adding unnecessary visual weight.

Less railing in your sightline & more of the view.
