The Adams County Jr Fair Beef BBQ will be held on Thursday, September 3, 4:30-7 p.m. at the Ohio Valley Career & Technical Center. Tickets cost $15 and include 2 sandwiches, cole slaw, baked beans, and chips. All proceeds go to support capital improvements to benefit our Jr Fair program.

Mark your calendar for a great meal to support a terrific group of young people. See you there!

Property Tax Scam Alert for Brown County Seniors

The Brown County Auditor’s Office is warning residents about false YouTube videos claiming that there’s a new “Federal Senior Homeowner Tax Review Request” program. The program DOES NOT EXIST.
Ohio does offer real property tax relief through the Homestead Exemption for eligible seniors, permanently disabled individuals, and qualifying disabled veterans. Also, the owner-occupancy credit is available to Ohio homeowners who live in their property full-time.
Always rely on official government sources and never pay for forms or give personal information to unofficial websites.
