Summer Intern Spotlight 🌟

This summer, we're excited to welcome talented students who are learning, growing, and gaining hands-on experience at Nucor Steel Gallatin.

Meet Annie! Annie shared that she's most excited to learn more about the steelmaking process, build meaningful connections, and experience the culture that makes Nucor unique. A fun fact about Annie: Spanish is her first language, and being bilingual has given her the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

💚 In May, we came together for our "Nucor Needs U — Stronger Together 2026" Mental Health Fair, a reminder that taking care of ourselves and each other matters.

As we reflect on Mental Health Awareness Month, we're grateful to the vendors, volunteers, and teammates who helped make this event possible. Most importantly, thank you to the teammates who took the time to stop by, learn about available resources, and support one another.

At Nucor Steel Gallatin, we believe being a teammate means more than working side by side — it means checking in, listening, and looking out for each other.

🖐️Hand Safety Month may be wrapping up, but the commitment to looking out for one another continues at Nucor Steel Gallatin.

During the month, teammates submitted 79 Hand Safety observations — a 14.5% increase from the previous period — with 8 observations identifying potential serious hazards before incidents could happen. Teammates also participated in a hand safety challenge where they experienced everyday tasks, like eating a hot dog, with a simulated hand disability — a reminder of how important hand safety is both at work and at home.

Shoutout to all teams who participated, especially Melt Shop for leading the way in observations, and congratulations to Jayme Rose, Chip Boots, and Aaron Kersey for their outstanding engagement throughout the month!
