Stupid Engineers… So We Engineered Our Own Tool 😂

The piston was peened onto the rod and wasn't coming off easily. It's too thin to risk destroying it with a pipe wrench, so Andy made a custom tool with a key that fits right into the piston groove.

Sometimes you have to engineer the tool before you can finish the repair. It gets the job done while saving the customer time and money. 😎

Saving a Hydraulic Cylinder the HARD Way 😳

This one fought us every step of the way. We welded onto the cap, air arced it, cut it apart, and did whatever it took to save the tube instead of replacing it. What a process. 😮‍💨

Everything was going great on this rush job… until it took a VERY unexpected turn. 😬

What started as a pretty straightforward repair quickly turned into some serious problem solving involving machining, a belt pulley, extractors, and a little last-minute help from Mike Finis Repair in Gibson City.

And somehow, Zander and Will still found time for another joke competition and a few magnificent acrobatics!
