During the recent spell of frigid, icy temperatures that gripped Western Pennsylvania for days, the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department faced an unexpected crisis when the heating in one of their truck bays failed. This situation posed a significant risk, as the water tanks in their firefighting vehicles could freeze, rendering them ineffective. Recognizing the urgency, Fire Chief David McWilliams reached out to McVay Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric for immediate assistance. Responding swiftly, McVay's team was at the station and installed a new high-capacity garage bay heater. McVay’s quick action ensured that the fire department's operations were not disrupted, safeguarding the community's safety. This collaborative effort between the Richland Twp. fire department and McVay, underscores McVay's commitment to community partnerships!
