Signed, Sealed, Delivered…Seattle Tacoma Box Company's Newest Addition!

Our team recently completed STBC's office expansion in Kent last month. The project featured a new 4,800 SF two-story office along with a full renovation of an existing 6,400 SF space to create a modern 11,200 SF corporate headquarters for one of the Pacific Northwest's premier packaging manufacturers.

The finished space highlights premium architectural elements including custom wood slat ceiling and walls, a signature custom wood and steel staircase, custom millwork, and contemporary finishes that elevate both the functionality and aesthetics of the new headquarters.

Through proactive planning, collaborative communication, and meticulous field coordination, WA Patriot successfully transformed the facility into a modern corporate headquarters that supports STBC’s continued growth while maintaining safety, productivity, and operational continuity throughout construction.

The Future Is Under Construction
Construction is well underway on two projects with Tacoma Public Schools the Professional Development Center (PDC) Demolition and the Foss High School Renovation. Awarded earlier this year as design-build projects, these efforts reflect a strong partnership with TPS and a shared commitment to improving educational facilities across the district.

The Professional Development Center (PDC) Renovation includes demolition of two buildings and portable classrooms on the PDC campus, along with various site upgrades. Construction began in June and is progressing on schedule under the leadership of Superintendent Jeff Elseth, Project Manager Jason Heminger, and Project Engineer Lauren Lusk.

The Foss High School Renovation is focused on modernizing mechanical and electrical systems and completing key interior improvements. Work began last month with boiler replacement and interior renovations and continues to advance through the summer, led by Superintendent Frank Cross, Project Manager Donny Gee, and Project Engineer Brad Johnson.

We’re honored to support Tacoma Public Schools and help create improved learning environments for students and faculty. As construction progresses at both campuses, we look forward to delivering lasting improvements that will serve the district for years to come.

Construction Safety Week took place nationwide last week with a theme focused on how we’re “All In Together” and the impact of workers who Recognize, Respond, and Respect safety conditions on every jobsite.

At WA Patriot, safety is always first. Our strong safety culture, proactive communication, and commitment to accountability have helped us maintain an industry-low EMR while protecting our employees, trade partners, and clients.

Throughout the week, WA Patriot held toolbox talks and safety luncheons across our jobsites to refresh knowledge, strengthen awareness, and encourage open conversations about safety among employees and subcontractors.

Topics included Recognizing Hazards, Responding to Hazards, Respecting Hazards, Fall Protection, and Best Practices for Maintaining a Safe Work Environment.

Safety is everyone’s job, and by working together, we reinforce our culture and standards that help ensure every team member goes home safe every day.
