The idea that heat pumps can’t handle a New Hampshire winter is a myth. Years ago, that might have been the case. Today, the technology is different.

Cold-climate heat pumps are engineered for our climate. These systems continue to pull heat from the air even when temperatures drop to -15°F. They don't just survive sub-zero weather; they maintain high efficiency while doing it.

For a commercial facility, this translates to reliable heat and reduced energy costs. We’ve installed these systems in restaurants and retail stores across the state, and they perform exactly as promised through the coldest months. It isn’t about marketing: it’s about the mechanics of modern refrigeration.

If you’re still relying on older heating methods because you’re worried about reliability, it’s time to look at the tech. A cold-climate system is a practical, grounded solution for your business.

The idea that heat pumps can’t handle a New Hampshire winter is outdated.

Modern cold-climate heat pumps are engineered for our environment. They don’t quit when the temperature drops. These systems maintain high efficiency even when it’s -10°F outside, providing reliable heat for your commercial space without the constant reliance on oil or gas.

For businesses in the Lakes Region, this technology is a practical way to reduce your carbon footprint and stabilize energy costs. It’s no longer just a "shoulder season" solution: it’s a primary heating source built for the long haul.

At Laconia Refrigeration, we specialize in the installation and maintenance of these high-performance systems. Our job is to ensure your facility stays warm and your operations remain uninterrupted, regardless of the weather.

If you’re looking to move away from fossil fuels or simply want a more dependable HVAC setup, let’s take a look at what a cold-climate heat pump can do for your facility.

Reach out to schedule service or a consultation and start the season on solid ground.

Current lead times for commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment are now at 20 weeks.

If you are planning to upgrade your systems before the New Hampshire or Maine winter sets in, that clock is already ticking. Ordering a unit today puts your delivery in late October. Waiting even a few weeks could leave your facility without reliable climate control when temperatures drop below 32°F.

Supply chain realities haven't fully normalized. We see these delays every day and want our clients to avoid emergency situations where replacements simply aren't available. A proactive approach now prevents a crisis when the seasons change.

Take a look at your current systems. If they struggled last year, now is the time to act.

2032 is closer than it looks for New England grocers. The transition to low-GWP refrigerants requires more than just a quick fix; it requires a long-term strategy for your existing systems. We understand the pressure of maintaining operations while planning for future compliance.

Our job is to help you evaluate your current equipment and develop a maintenance schedule that extends life while preparing for the technical shift. Don't wait for the deadline to force your hand. A phased approach to maintenance and retrofits can prevent the capital shock of a total system replacement.

Reach out now to start planning your transition and keep your inventory protected.

The heat is arriving earlier than usual this year. Forecasts indicate an El Niño pattern that could bring the first major heatwaves to the Lakes Region as early as June. When the outside temperature spikes, your refrigeration and HVAC systems are forced to work at maximum capacity. This is when small, unnoticed issues often turn into complete equipment failures.

A spring maintenance check ensures your systems are clean, charged, and ready for the load. It is much more cost-effective to identify a worn belt or a dirty coil now than to handle an emergency repair and potential inventory loss during a mid-summer rush. Our job is to catch these problems before they interrupt your business.

Reach out through our website to schedule your service visit and ensure your facility stays cool regardless of the forecast.

Growing your market or bakery doesn't always require a total system overhaul.

Many business owners think adding a new display case or walk-in means redesigning their entire mechanical setup. That isn't always the case. The 15% capacity rule often allows for small-scale expansions to your existing refrigeration without triggering a complete infrastructure reconstruction.

This means you can add that extra pastry case or beverage cooler while keeping your current system intact. Our job is to evaluate your existing setup and determine if you have the overhead to grow. A quick assessment can save you thousands in unnecessary upgrade costs.

If you're looking to expand your footprint this summer, let's look at the numbers first. We provide the technical insight to help you scale safely and efficiently.

Reach out now to schedule service and start the rest of the year on solid ground.
